Well I went down south with an old timey band, met up in the sand. Headed up north but never made it past old Durant. We met an old chief who had lost all his teeth, an accident in the van. He Met his old lady and his grizzly bear back at the camp.
Well open up the doors and let the music play, let it flow down the road. You know my baby’s waiting but she can wait a little more.
Well I went to Juarez on the day of the dead, and met up with an old ghost. She asked about the chief and rode off on a pale bag of bones.
I met up at the ranch with some Vietnam vets, wanted to check out Skinwalker Ranch. They traded in their sorrow for a brand new olive branch.
Open up the doors and let the music play, let it float down the road, I know my baby’s waiting but she can wait a little bit more.
